Sliders, Slurves and Curves

When learning a “breaking pitch” is all about the grip. The grip will give the ball a side spin for a slider or a top spin rotation for a curveball. Its important to find a grip that’s comfortable. This will take a lot of trial and error. If your hope is to truly command a breaking pitch, expect to throw a lot of them. BE CAREFUL though, throwing breaking pitches will put stresses on your arm you may not be used to! Take it slow at first.
