Just figured out how to blog from my Japanese iPhone. Ain’t technology great?!
Here’s a photo of my good friend “Big Tuna” aka “Ohmaguro” aka “taisho”. He was the sushi chef on miyako-jima. We became friends instantly when we learned of each others love for sushi. He loves making it and I love eating it!
Turns out, he was a sushi chef in Little Tokyo (Los Angeles) in the mid 70’s. Now he owns and runs a restuarant there on the sleepy little island of Miyako.
